Ali T

A passionate advocate of renewable energy with a particular focus on solar and wind energy. I believe diversifying the energy mix would help alleviate the energy crisis and help make the Levelized cost of electricity to be within a reasonable range. As a solar project manager, I have extensively worked on the design and optimization of solar projects of variable size and magnitude. Through my design, I have tried to maximize the overall efficiency and annual yield of the system.

  • Preparing feasibility reports using meteorological data for irradiance and site measurements, load analysis, Balance of System components, electrical and system losses, energy storage, and calculation of annual energy yield.
  • Prepare a detailed project report concerning the above and draft a financial plan for suitable ROI.
  • Perform design disciplines of the system using PV software like PV Syst, PVGIS, and Matlab.
  • Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor project plans, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
  • Detailed PV system design after selection of the equipment (such as a solar inverter) with the planned strings and PV system size.
  • Hold meetings with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) consultants and communicate design briefs to them.
  • Review the BOQs prepared by the consultants and optimize the overall plans and drawings through value engineering.
  • Review shop drawings prepared by the contractor on site.
  • Prepare the finalized drawings on AutoCAD, Revit, and simulators to prepare detailed facilities' data sheets and layouts.
  • Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team
  • Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Review field inspection reports from Consultants throughout the lifecycle of the project
